Representatives of the ACSH participated in the 31st NISPAcee Annual Conference titled “The Future of Public Administration Enabled Through Emerging Technologies” on 25-27 May 2023 in Belgrade, Serbia.

In the Opening Session, Mr. Alikhan Baimenov, Chairman of the ACSH Steering Committee, highlighted that “in addressing modern challenges, governments around the globe have accelerated the adoption of new technologies, which not only serve as a tool for enhancing government efficiency, transparency, and accountability; but can also play a pivotal role in fostering public trust”.  He further noted that by exchanging ideas and sharing experiences one can find “best fit” solutions for his own settings which underlines the increased importance of such multilateral platforms, as NISPacee and ACSH.

The ACSH jointly with the UNDESA, and NISPAcee organized a three-day workshop on “Public Administration and New Technologies: Challenges and Opportunities” within this conference. Welcoming speeches were made by  Mr. Alikhan Baimenov, Mr. Calin Hintea, NISPAcee President, and Ms. Elizabeth Niland, UN DESA.


Mr. Baimenov, welcoming the participants of the workshop, emphasized that public administration is expected to significantly enhance its effectiveness using new technological opportunities, development of partnerships, and capacity-building efforts.

During the workshop Ms. Ainura SERGAZIYEVA, Deputy Chairman of the Agency of RK for Civil Service Affairs, Mr. Gheorghe URSOI, policy advisor GIZ Moldova, former Deputy Director of the E-Government Agency, Mr. Bahram KHALILOV, Deputy Chairperson of the State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ms. Aziza Umarova, Head of Delivery Unit of the Agency for Strategic Reforms under President of Uzbekistan, Ms. Samra Ljuca, Assistant Director of CSA FBIH, Mr. Almazbek AKMATALIEV, rector of APA under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Erlan ABIL, rector of APA under the President of RK, Ms. Fariza ERGASHEVA, professor of the APA under the President of Tajikistan and experts from EU countries provided their insights on the role of innovation in public service delivery, partnerships and cooperation, fostering innovative mindsets through public service training to meet the SDGs.
