Online workshop on “Governments' Crisis Communications During the Pandemic”

COVID-19 pandemic has become one of the greatest challenges faced by governments around the world. It vividly demonstrated the key role of public administration in responding to the crisis and mitigating its consequences.
In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, countries have been forced to make fundamental changes in the public and private sectors. Thus, circumstances have shifted us to a new reality, where innovative communication has become important in people's lives, and, accordingly, this requires a transformation of goals and values in all areas. 
 
The pandemic has showed the significance of government communications and news management as one of the essential elements of enhancing public trust and crisis management.
 
In this regard, the Astana Civil Service Hub with the support of the UNDP is organizing  an online workshop "Governments' Crisis Communications During the Pandemic" on September 17, 2020. The event will be held on the ZOOM platform at 17:00 (Nur-Sultan time).

The event will focus on deploying effective solutions and strategies, leveraging government-media interaction, fighting against fake news and misinformation to build trust in the government, and consequently raise accountability of population in the context of COVID-19 pandemic.
 
This workshop is designed for employees of press services of state bodies, national companies, as well as those who interested in improving communication management skills in times of crisis.
 
Simultaneous translation to/from English and Russian languages will be provided.
