ACSH explores new avenues in AI сooperation with Korea’s National AI Research Lab

The Astana Civil Service Hub (ACSH) welcomed Professor Saeboom Jin from the National AI Research Lab of the Republic of Korea to explore new opportunities for cooperation in leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance governance.

During the meeting, Project Manager Bakyt Zhexembay highlighted ACSH’s expanding portfolio of activities in civil service development, governance innovation, digitalization, and capacity-development, showcasing successful partnerships and joint knowledge products developed with Korean government institutions. Professor Jin noted the Hub’s strong progress and the growing international interest in its initiatives.

Professor Jin shared Korea’s strategic approach to fostering an AI-skilled workforce and developing advanced technologies, as well as the National AI Research Lab’s efforts to promote responsible and unbiased AI solutions. The discussion also focused on potential collaboration in research, expert exchanges, and peer-learning activities to further advance innovation in the public sector.

Both sides expressed strong interest in deepening the partnership and co-developing impactful initiatives that empower governments across ACSH participating countries and beyond to navigate the future of governance.
