ACSH took part in the 2022 AAPA Conference

On December 3, the Chairman of the ACSH Steering Committee Mr. Alikhan Baimenov and projects experts of the Hub participated in the 2022 AAPA Conference on "New Governance Challenges towards Sustainable Development Goals in Asia and the World” organised virtually by the Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA) jointly with the International Institute of Administrative Sciences, the International Public Policy Association, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Mr. Alikhan Baimenov and Ms. Tolkyn Omarova co-moderated the panel on “Collaborative governance and cross-sector collaboration” in which seven presentations were delivered on various aspects of the main theme. Besides the ACSH, speakers from University of China, University of Kolkata, Nankai University, and University of Northern Philippines greatly contributed to the discussion, engaging over 30 practitioners, experts, and scholars from Asia and beyond. 

Also, Chairman Baimenov delivered a presentation on Cooperation modalities and benchmarking for good governance in the new reality, that draws on a joint work by himself and Hub’s experts – Ms. Diana Sharipova and Ms. Tolkyn Omarova. Along with sharing his views on collaboration modalities demanded by the new reality, Mr. Baimenov emphasized that “recognising the great importance of international indices as a benchmarking tool it is deemed to be crucial to ensure that international assessments consider the current trends and ongoing changes.” 

Overall, the Conference provided a good collaboration opportunity for regional and wider international participants to exchange knowledge and research on enablers of collaborative governance and cross-sector collaboration.
