Astana Civil Service Hub and Supreme Judicial Council Strengthen Cooperation on Judicial Selection

A working meeting was held between the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Astana Civil Service Hub, Alikhan Baimenov, and the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Dmitry Malakhov. The meeting was also attended by members of the Supreme Judicial Council, its Secretariat staff, and representatives of the Hub.
Alikhan Baimenov emphasized that the Hub attaches special importance to cooperation with the Supreme Judicial Council, as the quality of judicial selection directly affects public trust in the judicial system and the delivery of fair justice. Dmitry Malakhov, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the support and highly appreciated the practical value of the training activities previously conducted.
The parties discussed key changes in the activities of the Supreme Judicial Council and agreed to continue their joint work on developing the professional skills of its members, including through training in modern interview techniques for judicial candidates and the introduction of best international practices.
An agreement was also reached to prepare a joint research study and publish its results in the Hub’s journal.
At the end of the meeting, Alikhan Baimenov donated to the library of the Supreme Judicial Council a set of academic publications and analytical materials prepared by the Hub.
