Astana Civil Service Hub explores new horizons of international cooperation
On the sidelines of the international forum “GovHR: New Systems, Modern Services, Novel Solutions”, held on 20 June 2025 in Astana, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Astana Civil Service Hub and the Human Resource Management Office of the Republic of Sierra Leone, marking the beginning of a new stage in institutional cooperation and joint initiatives in the field of civil service and human resource management.
On the same day, Mr. Alikhan Baimenov, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Astana Civil Service Hub, held a series of bilateral meetings with senior representatives of public institutions and academia, including:

Ms. Tsedensuren Lkhagva, Chairperson of the Civil Service Council (Mongolia);

Mr. Saif bin Ali Al Kaabi, Acting Director General of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (Qatar);

Mr. Musonera Gaspar, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Service and Labour (Rwanda);

Mr. Ansu Tucker, Director General of the Human Resource Management Office (Sierra Leone);

Dr. Jasim Al Ali, Professor at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (UAE);

Prof. David Van Slyke, Dean of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University (USA).
The discussions focused on strengthening international cooperation, exchanging best practices in civil service, advancing digital transformation, and fostering human capital development.
