ACSH jointly with the Government of the Republic of Korea organize an 8-module online course in digital government for the Central Asia and the Caucasus countries

The Astana Civil Service Hub, together with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) and the National Information Society Agency (NIA) of the Republic of Korea, are organizing an online training course on "Policies and best practices of the Republic of Korea in the field of digital government" for representatives of government agencies of seven Central Asian countries and the Caucasus responsible for digitalization.

This online course was developed as part of a joint three-year project of the Government of the Republic of Korea, UNDP and the Astana Civil Service Hub
During the training, which will be held from December 20, 2021 to mid-January 2022, participants will have the opportunity to study the best practices of the Republic of Korea in the field of digital government, including their strategy, policies, achievements, innovative approaches, the latest technologies, as well as learn how to do it better. develop and implement digital government strategy and projects, manage cyber security, move to proactive services and certification, how to store data and documents in the G-cloud, and much more.

The online course allows participants to independently study at a convenient time, without interrupting their main activities on the Google classroom platform. It consists of eight modules and includes video lectures by leading Korean practitioners, as well as presentations and helpful materials.

The uniqueness of the online course is that participants will be given the opportunity to develop a concept for a successful digital project and receive feedback from leading Korean experts. Projects that meet the requirements may receive funding from the Korean government to continue their implementation. Also, participants will have the opportunity to take part in study visits to government agencies of the Republic of Korea, scheduled for 2022-2023. within the framework of this three-year project.

This project is being implemented under the provisions of the signed Grant Arrangement Agreement between UNDP in Kazakhstan (UNDP) and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) for the implementation of the project “Capacity Building for Innovations in Governance and Digitalization of Public Services”. The project is designed for three years and will be implemented by ACSH and UNDP in partnership with MOIS and NIA. The project is financed by the Government of the Republic of Korea.

The project envisions to conduct workshops to improve and/or upgrade the skills of civil servants with the involvement of leading Korean experts, as well as to organize study visits to government agencies of the Republic of Korea.
