Bilateral meeting with delegation of the he Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Academy of Governance was held in Astana

On 15 September in Astana, Chairman of the ACSH Steering Committee Alikhan Baimenov met with First Vice-Rector of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Academy of Governance Liu Baodong to explore avenues for bilateral cooperation.
Warmly welcoming the Academy’s delegation, Alikhan Baimenov highlighted China’s important role as one of the co-founders of the Hub. He noted that the establishment of the China–Central Asia Network of Academies of Governance and Public Administration in 2023 represented a significant milestone in advancing regional dialogue, knowledge exchange, and institutional collaboration.
In turn, Liu Baodong reaffirmed the Academy’s strong interest in deepening its partnership with the Astana Civil Service Hub. During the meeting the parties has discussed potential partnership modalities for joint capacity building and research initiatives.
Following the meeting, both sides agreed to prepare articles for the ACSH International Journal of Civil Service Reform and Practice by the scholars of the Academy. The articles will focus on the socio-economic development of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, the region's achievements, and the Academy's experience in training and professional development of civil servants.
