Hub held a series of bilateral meetings at the UN Public Service Forum

On the margins of the 2026 United Nations Public Service Forum, Mr. Alikhan Baimenov, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Astana Civil Service Hub (ACSH), held a series of bilateral meetings with senior government officials and representatives of international organizations.

In particular, Mr. Baimenov met with H.E. Faqir Mahbub Anam, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology of the People's Republic of Bangladesh; H.E. Vandeth Chea, Minister of Post and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Cambodia; Mr. David Almirol, Undersecretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Republic of the Philippines; and Mr. Thavisak Manodham, Director General of the Ministry of Technology and Communications of the Lao PDR. He also met with H.E. Li Junhua, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs; Mr. Vincenzo Aquaro, Chief of the Digital Government Branch, UN DESA; and Professor Mario Hernández Ramos, Chair of the Committee on Artificial Intelligence of the Council of Europe.

During the meetings, the parties discussed opportunities for further strengthening cooperation in the field of digital government. They exchanged views on digital transformation, AI governance, capacity development, and opportunities for future joint initiatives aimed at promoting effective, innovative, and citizen-centred public governance.
