In Dubai, within the seventh World Government Summit (WGS 2019), the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Astana Civil Service Hub Alikhan Baimenov met the Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future and Chairman of the WGS His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi.

Mohammed Al Gergawi noted: “We have the same vision and goals - to make people happier and their lives easier. The UAE government is ready to share the best practices on application of innovations in the public sector with the Hub’s participating countries”.

Alikhan Baimenov, in his turn, stressed the importance of partnership in the development of public service innovations. He mentioned that the Hub had 40 participating countries, including Estonia and Korea - the leaders in the field of new technologies and E-government. The Hub has launched two Alliances of practitioners on public service delivery and e-government development to exchange experience and encourage peer-to-peer learning. Alikhan Baimenov stressed that the UAE’s extensive experience in government innovations would be of a great value for the Hub’s participating countries.
